Family Is Family

If you all might remeber, there was a dialogue in Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna when SRK tells Rani Mukherji " After all, family is family." This was exactly my feeling when I met my uncle, aunt and cousins at lunch a while ago. The elder cousin had gone to study in the U.S.A and was here in India to spend his winter hols. I was meeting him after four months. It was a pleasure to relax, chat and generally spend time with your loved ones. Sitting there and soaking in the afternoon sun, I realized how wonderful it is to sit with your family and spend some time but at the same time in this day and age how rare has it become. We all have busy lives and a lot of work pressure and hardly any time for our family. We can party all night with our friends, but the thought of meeting your relatives for a simple dinner makes us wince. I realized that the kind of comfort level we share with our family; we can never share a similar kind of level with friends. So, I think we should all spend quality time with our mother, father, siblings etc...Who knows "Kal Ho Na Ho"...:-)
